Mazunte — The People We Meet Along the Way
After weeks of travelling, we arrived in Mazunte with a different intention: to stay, slow down and reconnect.

For the next month, Bliss Haven became our home. A small, mindful community where people from around the world come together to share experiences, explore personal growth and embrace a simpler way of living.

We came here to find our way back to ourselves and each other as husband and wife, while learning to navigate life without Eden's physical presence. Our days were filled with meditation, yoga, conscious movement and quiet moments by the ocean. Slowly, we began creating space for both our grief and the beauty of life.

Mazunte also brought us closer to Adrián, Eden's oncology consultant, who had played an important role during his illness. Meeting him in person was deeply emotional. We spent hours talking, crying, remembering Eden and reflecting on everything life had taught us. It was a meaningful encounter that brought comfort, understanding and a renewed sense of connection.
At Bliss Haven, we also met Cole and Stefan, two beautiful souls walking their own paths of self-discovery. What began as casual conversations soon grew into genuine friendships. With Stefan, an unexpected pizza evening turned into hours of sharing stories, struggles and life lessons.

One day, Stefan and Sonny set out for a skimboarding lesson. Through a series of amusing misunderstandings, the plan unexpectedly turned into surfing at San Agustinillo. It was exactly the kind of playful chaos Eden would have loved.

When Sonny stood up on his surfboard on his very first attempt, he felt something special. As though Eden was right there with him, sharing another adventure with papa.
We came to Mazunte searching for space to reconnect with life. What we found was a beautiful reminder that we don't have to walk this journey alone.
Through unexpected friendships, meaningful conversations and moments of pure joy, Mazunte reminded us that even after the deepest loss, life still has beautiful surprises waiting for us.
